Susanne Th. Kortekaas (1967), attorney-at-law, University of Utrecht, started her career with Trenité Van Doorne, Amsterdam in 1995, practicing corporate law and energy law. On May 1, 2000 she switched to Loyens & Loeff, Amsterdam where she acted as senior attorney in the corporate practice group until she joined the Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg offices in 2005. In 2006, she became member of the management board of Equity Trust (Luxembourg), a leading trust services company, to become the director of its legal department. Having practiced law for more than ten years with two leading Dutch law firms and managing Equity Trust’s legal department has helped her to build a vast network of contacts in the international business and law practicing community.

Susanne specialised in corporate law at the Grotius Akademie, Nijmegen, the Netherlands and in petroleum and energy law at the Centre for Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy of the University of Dundee, Scotland. She is co-author of the SDU edition on the Societas Europaea and author of various other publications.

Susanne is registered with the Amsterdam Bar and the Luxembourg Bar. She is also a member of the International Bar Association.
